These boots are amazing. Strangers complement them on the streets. They dress up for work, but are casual enough for a walk. I use them 3-4 times a week during fall, winter, and well into spring and they last me about 2 years when I wear through the inner fabric. Same thing every other year since 2014. Never have to break them in, the sole is flexible and the laces give a good degree of adjustability in the width. The zipper closure is fantastic because once you get the sweet spot with the laces, you never have to undo them. The leather is wonderfully soft and you don’t need socks that are terribly thick, which helps make them so versatile.They’re fairly water resistant and survive puddles and sleet, and even ice to some degree, but the lack of tread does poorly in snow. Every few years I wonder if I should try to a boot with more tread, but as long as the snow isn’t fresh and fluffy these do fine, so I come right back for more.I have many pairs of boots, but I also have foot problems. I’ve spent lots of money trying to get dress boots that feel good on my wide sore feet. I have bunions and bunionettes, a neuroma, and varicose veins. No tight shoes. No narrow shoes. No more then an inch heel. Sounds gorgeous, right? These shoes fit and have a somewhat edgy look. Nothing is perfect, but these are more comfortable than a pair of my Frye boots, Jcrew boots, and Thursday boots. I wear size 6 pants and 91/2 wide shoe. These boots accommodate leg, ankle, and foot size. Try them.Comfortable!! The lace up area is a little wide but the boot wears comfortably that it’s hard to notice. I keep a pair of Steve Madden boots like these because you can dress up or down and remain comfortable and cute!!! Love how they zip up and lace up!!! I definitely recommend keeping a pair on deck!!! I wear a size 11 and I’m satisfied.The only thing keeping these boots from getting all 5 stars is that they aren't leather. Other than that, they are great. They have a zipper, so once you lace them up the way you want, you don't have to undo the laces. They are also so comfy. The doles are super soft and bouncy.Great boots but If they don't fit and you need a different size good luck on getting a refund, They say you'll receive a refund after they receive the boots well I called and they received the boots and I still don't have a refund.Great quality of leather boots. Bought them for riding on a motorcycle.So I impulse bought these because they're exactly what I need for a number of my outfits and I didn't really read the reviews before I ordered. Once I did read all the reviews about fakes and boots falling apart I panicked a bit but didn't cancel my order because I have had really good luck on Amazon so far. My biggest buys being my laptop two pairs of docs and some timberlands and everything has been authentic despite some reviews saying they were fake. THE POINT IS I do think there are people piggy backing fakes into real orders I have no idea how but I think it has something to do with where you live. I live near shipping ports and all my orders come quickly and are right. I think if you live somewhere more remote the likely hood of fakes is bigger. So trust your gut and past ordering experiences and make sure you have a foolproof return method on anything pricey. The boots (if real) are perfect and smell leathery and wonderful.I finally found the perfect boot. I am wearing them now to “break them in” although they are so comfortable I don’t feel as if I have to. They just arrived. Super comfortable and are just like the picture. I was concerned because of some of the reviews but mine are wonderful! Sorry to those who got less than perfect. Totally plan on buying all of the colors now. Will update if need be, but for now, I love them.I tried to submit a picture but Amazon is being rather difficult today lol. Sorry loves.Bought these before from a reputable store in town so these are my second pair. My last pair lasted me for 3 years of regular wear so I wanted to replace and since they are out of stock everywhere I have these a try. I’m not convinced these are the real deal and the smell is horribly strong. I wouldn’t risk your money on these.Great looking and well made boot but Uk size incorrect, too small. Horrid experience trying to return them, you have to fork out for the return postage, been quoted £77 to return an £80 pair of boots. Having to trudge around couriers trying to get better price as its impossible on the Internet as the zip code isn't recognised for amazon returns to the states. Won't be buying anything stateside again.Really pleased. Arrived earlier than expected. The leather is soft, rich and beautiful. They are super comfortable. Great value for money. They have a zip down the side and come packaged in a Steve Madden box ???Lovely boots, far, far too small. Strange as my last pair of these was exactly the same size and fitted fine! My feet have not grown..perhaps is because they're coming from America? Can't message seller as system does not accept my email. return ing..hope the refund comes through..heard nothing as yet.Size 6 too large. Have returned. Still awaiting my refund. The 5.5 we're too small. I have worn these boots for years (5.5) and my feet have not grown! I am disappointed the sizes seem to now be unreliable. The boots look great.
