The elastic fabric of this shoe gently 'hugs' my foot while expanding for the little bumps that usually get squished by shoes. It has the appearance of linen with a rich navy color that is hard to find. They feel completely secure on my feet - hard to believe they are a high wedge. I find myself wearing them around the house long after I would have 'kicked off' most of my other shoes. Cute & comfy - great shoes!
