I usually wear 40 EU (8.5/9 US), these are perfectly loose barefoot, or perfectly snug with thin sock. No pilling of wool felt. Sole provides sturdy support, flexible, not too stiff.Suede sole and brown felt marvelous color coordination with acid-stained mottled brown cement floor! Color and traction (and sound) on floor were actually factors in selecting these slippers. Happy happy.
